I just wanted to share a picture I took with my Seestar S50 of Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon on 25th October 2025. This image was processed in PixInsight using only 21 of the individual 10 second images recorded by the telescope. Despite the short total exposure time of only 3½ minutes, a remarkable amount of detail and colour can be seen.
This is a long-period comet originating from the Oort Cloud, and was detected in January 2025 by astronomers at the Mount Lemmon Survey in Arizona. It’s getting lower and lower in the sky (currently in Ophiuchus) making it harder and harder to see, and will not return for 1,154 years.
