About the Event

About Jennifer

Dr. Jenifer Millard achieved her PhD in Astrophysics from Cardiff University in March 2021 (officially making her a Plague Doctor), wherein she studied the evolution of the ‘stuff between the stars’ over cosmic history. While working on her PhD, Jeni discovered her true passion lies in telling people about science, rather than doing the science herself. An expert multi-platform science communicator, you'll frequently find Jeni on BBC radio, explaining the latest astronomical discoveries (and infrequently on BBC TV too). She is a long-time host of the popular podcast Awesome Astronomy, the managing editor for Fifth Star Labs Sky Guide app, and an Associate of Cardiff University. When not tweeting about space, you'll find her cross-stitching, or curled up with a good film and her cat.
