About the Event
In 2012 I moved my equipment from cloudy Hertfordshire to a mountain top in Spain and my imaging was transformed. But I had to learn a great deal very quickly to make it worthwhile.
In addition to imaging there was also the opportunity to do some science, analysing variable stars and exo planets.
Then after 10 years it was time to move on to pastures new and try the southern hemisphere - a remote facility in Australia.
Along the way I also had the chance to create an art business based upon my astro images which has been fascinating.
I will describe my journey from Herts to Aussie, illustrated by images from both hemispheres and the ups and downs of remote imaging.
They'll also be a competition on the night to win a £200 voucher for one of my pictures!
