I
was always fascinated by space as a child and when I got a telescope for my 8th birthday, I knew I would always love looking up at the stars. When I found out about the Wycombe Astronomical Society, I knew I had to join so I could meet others who loved space as much as I did.
Even though I was the youngest there and probably the most inexperienced in astronomy, I’ve always felt welcome. Everyone is so willing to answer my questions and explain anything I didn’t know or understand. I’ve learnt a lot since I joined and met so many people from all different backgrounds and expertise, all connected by our love for space.
I’ve loved every meeting I’ve attended since becoming a member and it’s been amazing getting the opportunity to explore different facets of astronomy, whether it's by watching a lecture with everyone or just having interesting discussions.
