I joined WAS after trying to do it alone which I found challenging. It was not long after joining that I was able to use my telescope, observing objects like Jupiter’s moons, nearby galaxies and recently double stars.
The members are very welcoming, passionate and really know what they are talking about.
They hold talks from experts and socials which have now become the highlight of my week. I usually receive a Gem of knowledge, advice to complete one of the WAS astronomy challenges and we have a laugh or two.
If you want to learn all things astronomy I cannot recommend this society enough.
